Monthly Art Exhibits
Guidelines for Artists
Each month from September through May we host an exhibit by an artist that draws his or her inspiration from nature. The exhibits are seen by approximately 1,000 - 2,000 people per month. In addition to mounting a show, the artist typically holds a reception/opening one evening for friends, relatives and the general public. Exhibits are usually set up in the last few days of the preceding month to open on the first of the following month.
Media run from photographs and giclee prints, oil and watercolors, to stained glass and textile works. We only have space for hanging wall art (no sculptures). A dozen large works or two dozen smaller pieces may be displayed on our wall hanging system. Please come by to view the space to see if it is suitable for your works.
The artist can promote the event and we will publicize the event to our members and the general press. We feature one image from the collection on our Calendar page for the month.
There is no charge for this, but we ask that 10% of any sale be donated to the Nature Center.
Rye Nature Center and Friends of the Rye Nature Center assumes no liability for the art.
