Birdies for Birds Golf Outing

Golf and support conservation!

Save the Date! This year’s golf outing will be Tuesday, July 30, 2019.

Birdies for Birds is a charitable endeavor organized by students at Rye High School. A shared love of playing golf and experience the beauty of the natural environment inspired this golf outing to raise awareness and funds to benefit FRNC’s mission to protect and conserve natural habitats.

The goal of Birdies for Birds is to support birds living along the Westchester coastline by raising funds to plant native plants, remove invasive species, and reduce the use of harmful chemicals. Proceeds from last year’s event allowed the Nature Center to plant $6,000 worth of native flowers, trees, shrubs, and grasses at the Rye Nature Center to support the habitat needs of coastal and estuary birds.

If you would like more information about our goals, please feel free to contact us at birdiesforbirds@gmail.com. You may also contact the Nature Center directly at (914) 967-5150.

The event ticket price includes a round of golf and post-game reception.

Prizes will be awarded at the closing ceremony for:

  • Lowest score

  • Closest to the pin (3)

  • Longest drive

We can accommodate up to 32 golfers in a modified shotgun start.
