We’re counting down the days until our scholarship camp kicks off for its 14th summer! On August 22nd, nearly 100 students from the Inner-City Scholarship Fund will join us at the Rye Nature Center to explore nature, learn about sustainability and healthy living, and form lasting memories.
The camp experience of our ICSF campers is made possible by the Nature Access Fund, which plays a vital role in Friends of Rye Nature Center’s commitment to accessibility. For just a few examples, the NAF supports:
The Inner-City Scholarship Fund camp, which allows students from underserved communities in Manhattan and the Bronx to attend summer camp at FRNC;
Financial aid, so more Westchester families can take advantage of our programs;
Learning opportunities for low-income women, senior citizens, and disabled teens and adults;
Our mobile, interactive NatureStation, which brings sustainability and conservation education to locations across Westchester;
And more!
